2 Paper Buildings was founded in 1988 as a modern-thinking and approachable common law set of Chambers. Since then we have steadily grown to a total of 42 tenants, whilst retaining the same essential ethos and focus on providing excellent advocacy services. We pride ourselves on being accessible to all of our clients and always providing pragmatic advice. We have large teams of practitioners undertaking crime and family work, as well as specialists in general civil work, immigration, public law and employment law.
2 Paper Buildings were one of the first Chambers to be awarded Quality Mark in recognition of the quality of our service and we have successfully maintained this accolade ever since.
Due to the growth of Chambers over the past few years we will be making the short move to newly refurbished premises at 2 Dr Johnson’s Buildings in the summer of 2007. This demonstrates our commitment to excellence through the improvement of our facilities and allows the planned expansion of Chambers to continue. As well as providing increased accommodation and designated conference facilities, we will be installing stateof the art video-conferencing equipment. This will allow direct access to prisons throughout the UK, as well as providing scope for direct links to organisations and individuals internationally.

Members of our criminal team accept instructions in every area of criminal work from simple offences of dishonesty to large-scale frauds and from minor public order offences to homicide allegations. Various members of the team specialise in appearing in serious sexual offences. We are instructed by a range of defence solicitors from smaller high street firms to larger firms based in the City.
