Chambers is pleased to announce that Daniel Benjamin has been appointed as a Recorder. He has been deployed to sit in the Family Court on the South Eastern Circuit.

Daniel will continue to practise from chambers and to accept instructions in his specialist areas.

Daniel Benjamin was called to the bar in 2006 and is an established practitioner, primarily in criminal law. Daniel is also authorised to undertake Public Access work.

Stacey Holland has joined Chambers as a third six having successfully completed pupillage in London.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Stacey worked at the Crown Prosecution Service for 17 years; 5 years as a Paralegal and the past 12 years as an Associate Prosecutor. Stacey appeared daily in court, presenting a wide range of cases, gaining extensive experience of the court and various legal processes.

2 Dr Johnson's are delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Doman and Jean-Jack Chalmers as Deputy District Judges.

Both Richard and Jean-Jack will continue to practice from chambers and accept instructions in their specialist areas. 

Richard Doman was called to the bar in 2003 and is an established multi-discipline practitioner. Richard is also authorised by the Bar Council to undertake Direct Access work.

Following the announcement today by the Criminal Bar Association we have decided that no member of our chambers is prepared to accept instructions in legally aided criminal defence cases in which the representation order is granted on or after 1st April 2018. We will also fully support the days of action proposed by the Criminal Bar Association.
