Christopher is a dedicated and motivated member of chambers who approaches each case with a meticulous and analytical style. Prior to coming to the bar Christopher has worked in a variety of legal fields including at a legal 500 solicitors firm and as an assistant to a blind barrister. Described by Thorpe LJ as putting his arguments “compellingly” Christopher is a forthright advocate with an amiable manner.
Christopher undertakes a mix of public and private client work, from matrimonial finance to care proceedings. Christopher is often praised for his attention to detail, his ability to analyse complex issues from multiple angles and his persuasive advocacy.
Christopher has experience in all areas of private Children Act proceedings including complex international cases and enforcement proceedings.
Christopher has acted in a wide range of financial remedy proceedings, including Schedule 1 CA. He has experience of cases involving allegations of non-disclosure of assets, maintenance pending suit and enforcement. Christopher has acted on behalf of intervenors asserting a beneficial interest in property and on behalf of trustees.
Christopher also has experience in cases proceeding under TOLATA, whether as between cohabitees or between members of the broader family. Christopher is regularly instructed all stages from pre-action advice, settling letters before action, drafting statements of case and witness statements, and advocacy through to trial.
In his spare time Christopher enjoys Skiing and mountain climbing.
