Meet our clerking team
Steve joined Chambers in June of 1999, having previously been Senior Clerk at 14 Grays Inn Square. He has used his 30 years of clerking experience to lead a team that has helped to establish 2 Dr Johnson’s Buildings’ excellent reputation in the Temple. Steve was instrumental in ensuring that Chambers attained its Quality Mark status. He is a member of the Institute of Barristers Clerks.
1st Junior Clerk
Marc has been at 2 Dr Johnson’s Buildings since 1990 and is our longest serving member of the Clerks Room. Marc was previously a junior clerk at 4 Kings Bench Walk (then the Chambers of Conrad Asher). Since joining Chambers Marc has been part of a highly successful team during what has been a sustained period of growth. Marc is a member of the Institute of Barristers Clerks.
Jamie started as a clerk in 1997 as a key member of our clerks team when Chambers was operating from 2 Paper Buildings. He moved to 9-12 Bell Yard in 2003 where he was responsible for the junior diary before becoming 1st Junior Clerk at a common law set in Lincoln’s Inn where he found himself heavily involved in Chambers’ marketing. Prior to re-joining us in May 2009, Jamie was Senior Fees Clerk at 2 Hare Court. His return to us as Second Junior has allowed us to maintain continuity within the clerks room whilst taking advantage of the wealth of experience that was gained during his time away from Chambers.
Mia joined us as a clerk in November 2021. In her previous post, Mia worked with the Crown Prosecution Service.
Sam joined us as a clerk in March 2022. Sam joins us from 5 St Andrew's Hill, having previously clerked at 2 Temple Gardens. Sam is an experienced clerk and is a valuable addition to our clerking team.
