Chambers Director
Steve joined Chambers in June of 1999, having previously been Senior Clerk at 14 Gray’s Inn Square.
He has used his over 40 years of clerking experience to lead a team that has helped to establish 2DRJ’s excellent reputation in the Temple.
Marc Newson
Senior Practice Manager
Marc joined chambers in 1990 as our first Junior Clerk, having spent the previous five years at 4 King’s Bench Walk.
He has played a pivotal role in the development of chambers over the years. Now a Senior Practice Manager and second in command, Marc is an integral part of the clerking team, ably assisting the Practice Director in the day-to-day running of Chambers, Diary Management, Fees and Accounts
Sam Cook
Practice Manager
Sam joined us a Practice Manager in March 2022. Sam started his career as a Clerk at 2 Temple Gardens in 2009. He then joined 5 St Andrew Hill in 2015 as Criminal Clerk and spent 7 years there before making the move to 2DRJ. Sam is a very experienced clerk and is a valuable addition to our clerking team. Sam is a member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks, and he has completed the BTEC Advanced Award in Chambers Administration.
Mia Riches
Practice Manager
Mia joined us as a clerk in November 2021. In her previous post, Mia worked within the Crown Prosecution Service. Mia is an enthusiastic and valued member of our team.
Rachel Hawkes
Chambers Administrator
Rachel Joined 2DRJ in August 2023 after having worked in a criminal solicitors as an office manager for the past 10 years. Rachel’s main role is to manage the administration, financial and all operational aspects of Chambers.
